Q: What type of cameras does Our Town Multimedia use?
A: We only use professional high definition digital video cameras. Each camera is capable of recording high definition video continually for 6 hours on battery or 12 hours plugged in. Each camera also has sound (XLR) inputs allowing them to connect to soundboards and microphones.
Q: What is the purpose of a green screen?
A: Recording with a green screen allows us to replace the background of the video. This means we can make it look like you were filmed in any location.
Q: What are the benefits of using multiple cameras?
A: Multiple cameras allow us to record different angles so during the editing process we can choose the footage that looks the best. This makes a much higher quality video.
Q: Can you put text on the video?
A: Yes; Text on a video is called a title. Titles can be used to separate sections, give viewers additional information or or let viewers know how to contact you at the bottom left or right side of the video.

A: Yes; We can create videos in all popular on-line formats. This allows videos created by Our Town Multimedia to be placed on your website, YouTube, FaceBook and other video sites. We also have a large library of images, videos and music that we can use in your video. We own licenses that allow media from our library to be used commercially or put on-line.
Q: What are lower-thirds titles?
A: In its simplest form, a lower third can just be text overlying the video. A lower third can also contain graphical elements such as boxes, images or shading. Some lower thirds have animated backgrounds and text. Despite the name they can be any size or even at the top of a video. The most common use for lower thirds is to put persons names and places on the video.

A: Titles that move vertically are called rolling. They are usually used for credits.
Q: What are crawling titles?
A: Titles that move horizontally are called crawls. This is usually at the bottom of the video and is used to give additional information about the content when the text is too long for a static title.
